World’s Most Expensive Black Diamond Evening Gown by Debbie Wingham

Now wouldn’t you want to wear this elegant evening gown to a party or prom? British designer Debbie Wingham unveiled this $5.6 million black diamond dress to the world, at the Ukraine Fashion Week, held in September 2012.

Debbie Wingham is a young and famous British fashion designer, who started her foray into the fashion world at the tender age of 13. Her latest creation to hit the headlines is this elegant black diamond evening gown, at an extraordinarily expensive price of $5.6 million.

Debbie Wingham’s black diamond evening gown weighs an astounding 13 kilograms. It has 50 black diamonds, measuring 2 carats each, which have been carefully embedded on the dress. While 25 of the black diamonds decorate the peplum, the other 25 black diamonds are placed on the beautiful shoulder shrug. When worn together, the black diamonds seem to frame the shoulder line of the dress.

The bustier of Debbie Wingham’s black diamond evening gown is its main centrepiece, showing off 5 carats of sparkling black diamonds. The dress also has other hand-sewn details that took about six months of work. These embellishments include really intricate beading work, and a string of pointer white diamonds set in white gold, with a little bit of chain detail.

Previously, Debbie Wingham’s $5.6 million black diamond evening gown was officially unveiled at the Billionaires’ Club in Monte Carlo, before it public launching at the Ukraine Fashion Week. Talk about attracting billionaire buyers, and rich Russians!
