This octagon-shaped penthouse in New York City has joined the list of record-breaking expensive properties, by getting listed for sale for a whopping 100 million dollars. It is owned by Steven Klar, the President of Klar Organization and a leading real-estate developer in Long Island, who had purchased the penthouse in 1993 for $4.5 million dollars.

Features of Steven Klar's Octagon Penthouse in New York

Steven Klar’s penthouse is located on the top of CitySpire condominium, and soars 70 stories above the culturally vibrant Midtown area in Manhattan. With 3,000 feet of terrace space and 135 windows, this New York penthouse offers spectacular 360 degree views of Central Park, the city skyline and the harbour. It is spread over three floors (the 73rd, 74th and 75th floor) of the high-rise City Spire condominium in Manhattan.

This ‘for sale’ penthouse apartment has 8,000 square feet of interior space, which includes six full bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, a dining room that seats 20 people, a media room, a conference room and a formal gallery. The interiors of Steven Klar’s penthouse in New York has been designed by renowned interior designer Juan Pablo Molyneux, who was born in Chile.

As one enters the property from the door on the 73rd floor, one will be amazed by the wonderful décor. The entry area is decorated with beautiful inlaid marble, and has a powder room for guests to freshen up, as well as a large closet for coats. There is also an internal elevator to take guests up to the other two floors of the penthouse.

Steven Klar’s grand master suite offers a view of Central Park, and has a huge sitting room. It also has a magnificent bathroom in hunter-green marble, with deep mahogany furniture, and gleaming bronze fixtures. The master bathroom at this expensive New York penthouse also has a deep soaking tub, two steam showers, and a double sink vanity.

Other features of Steven Klar’s New York penthouse are its Crestron and Lutron lighting system, integrated speakers, and window-shades that can be electronically controlled. Real estate developer Steven Klar has lived in this property for around 17 years, ever since he purchased it in 1993. A downside of this penthouse is the One57 building opposite, which partly blocks the amazing views of New York City.

If Steven Klar’s New York City Penthouse gets sold for the listed price of $100 million, it will become one of the most expensive homes in the United States, joining the Silicon Valley Mansion that Yuri Milner (a Russian billionaire) bought for $100 million.
